Next Gen Music Ed

Next Gen Music Ed offers a framework for rethinking music teacher preparation around four interconnected domains: Musicianship, Teaching, Community, and Leadership. Together, these domains expand the preparation of music educators beyond completing courses and mastering traditional requirements. They ask programs to consider whether future teachers are prepared to create, adapt, collaborate, connect with communities, respond to change, and design meaningful musical opportunities for more students.
